Reggae super group Morgan Heritage was among the diverse
lineup of artists at the Islands in the Park concert in downtown
Miami. The Morgan sisters and brothers (Denroy, David, Jeff, Lukes,
Memmalatel, Ray, Peter, and Una) demonstrated their musical roots,
thier father is veteran Reggae Star Denroy Morgan.
They performed 'Dont Haffi Dread to be Rasta' and 'Down by the River'
from their new album More
Teachings. Morgan Heritage has been quickly gaining popularity
from Reggae Fans the World over and with a solid live performance
such as this it is easy to see why.
Also performing were Soca Groups Krosfyah and Traffik, up and coming
solo artists Rupee of Barbados and Talpree (old woman alone) of
Grenada and veteran Calypsonian Shadow.

Wyclef brought packed Miami's Bayfront Amphitheater by bringing
together the hottest Hip-Hop and Reggae acts in Wyclef's Spring
Ting.
Early in the evening Hip Hop group Iconz, took the to the stage
and got the crowd out of their seats and singing along with their
energetic party anthem 'get funked up'. They were later followed
by Chaka Demus & Pliers who took the crowd down memory lane
with thier classic hits 'Murder She Wrote' and 'tease me'.
As the sun went down, Reggae crooner Beres Hammond had the crowd
singing along with his many hits, he later returned to the stage
to sing alongside Buju Banton on some of the several hits they have
recorded together such as 'pull it up' and 'falling in love'. Following
Buju Banton, was Beenie 'the Gyal dem Sugah' Man who pleased the
crowd with many of his songs from his album Art
& Life. Headliner Wcylef Jean gave an electifying performance
in creole, english and even throwing some spanish for the local
crowd.
